Most landscape beds benefit from mulching once in the spring, with a light refresh in the fall to keep beds looking clean and well maintained. A 2–3 inch layer helps retain moisture, suppress weeds, and regulate soil temperature while gradually improving soil quality as it breaks down.

How long does a concrete driveway lasts ?

A properly installed concrete driveway in Northern Virginia typically lasts 25 to 40 years. The key factors are proper base preparation, correct concrete mix, and adequate thickness. NOVA's freeze-thaw cycles put stress on concrete, so the base and drainage work done before the pour is just as important as the concrete itself.

What id the difference for concrete and paver patios ?

Poured concrete is more affordable and very durable, giving you a clean, uniform surface. Pavers cost more upfront but offer more design flexibility, are easier to repair if one section cracks or settles, and generally add more visual character to your outdoor space. Both are great options, the right choice depends on your budget and the look you want.
